Ms. Velasquez M.Ed.

Ms. Velasquez (her students know her as Ms. "V") earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Chicano/a Studies along with her Master of Arts in Education from Sonoma State University and California State University-Dominguez Hills.
Ms. V. has been a special education teacher since 1998 and holds a dual teaching credential in both Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe academic instruction.
Ms. Velasquez is very happy to be working here at CCHS because she grew up in this city and continues to be a resident of Culver City.  "This is my home and I love this school and community."

Ms. Velasquez has two beautiful children who are also a part of the CCUSD family.  She loves spending her free time in the swimming pool and at the beach with her family.  She considers her career in education one of her biggest successes in her life. She has chosen to use her own educational and life experiences to help motivate her students to reach their personal goals in spite of learning challenges.

" I have the most amazing students and they inspire me every day."

Ms. Velasquez  is extremely excited to be teaching English 9,10,11,12 this year as well as an Intercultural Literature Class.  "This is going to be another fantastic school year full of fun learning."
"Culver City School District is truly a family of schools and I am so grateful to be a part of this family."
