NCAA Eligibility Information Night for 11th Grade Student-Athletes

The purpose of this event is to inform student-athletes and parents on what is needed to be NCAA eligible for Division I and Division II. It will be held in the MPR from 6pm - 7:30pm on May 31, 2018. To make this night most beneficial, student-athletes will work on an individualized plan to meet NCAA Eligibility requirements. Specific details will be sent out to those students who complete the form.

Culver City High School & Middle School have streamlined their clearance process.  CCHS & CCMS Athletes must be cleared through www.athleticclearance.com.  PARENTS create an account for this website to create clearances for all of their children.  (Please do not use student’s ccusd email addresses) Physical exam forms are to be uploaded to www.athleticclearance.com or may be turned in to the school offices.  Should you have any questions, please contact Leslie Gardner 310-842-4200 ext. 3512 or via email at lesliegardner@ccusd.org.

 

If you are unable to have your doctor fill out the form,here are 3 options for getting a physical exam for CCHS Athletics if you cannot get one from our doctor at this time. Physical exams given within a year are considered current.
 
July 13, Dr. O'Byrne will be at CCHS to give physical exams for $30 cash to CCHS Athletes at 1:00 pm.
Athletes must sign up with their Head Coach who will give them a parent permission slip to bring on July 13th.

2018 Fall Sport Tryouts, Camps and Practices

Football

Athletes may try out during Summer Workout which will begin June 19, 2018 to June 28, 2018. Cross Country

While there are no tryouts for Cross Country, students may join the team by coming to the summer practices which begin on June 18 , 2018 from 9am-10:30 am at Lindberg Park.  Practices will be held each week,Monday-Friday from 9am-10:30 am at Lindberg Park. Incoming 9th graders interested in playing high school tennis must have prior experience or training.  There is very limited space available for team practices. Monday - Thursday June 18th – July 5th
Student athletes will get a chance to work closely with the Culver City high school coaching staff on skills such as: ball handling, shooting, passing, and offensive and defensive team concepts, so that they will have head start on the upcoming season.

Students will not receive a grade or credit
Who: Applicants must be a returning Culver City High School (CCHS) student, transfer student or incoming freshman at CCHS for the 2018 - 2019 school year

Girls Soccer Camp
Please check out the information attached and feel free to share it.   We will have a girls only soccer camp that combines both the High School and Middle School programs.   Good role models for the younger players to aspire to and also the chance for High school players to help share their knowledge with the younger players.   It should be a positive experience and one the girls won’t forget.
