Athletics News

NCAA Eligibility Information Night for 11th Grade Student-Athletes

The purpose of this event is to inform student-athletes and parents on what is needed to be NCAA eligible for Division I and Division II. It will be held in the MPR from 6pm - 7:30pm on May 31, 2018. To make this night most beneficial, student-athletes will work on an individualized plan to meet NCAA Eligibility requirements. Specific details will be sent out to those students who complete the form.

Culver City High Sports

Culver City High School & Middle School have streamlined their clearance process.  CCHS & CCMS Athletes must be cleared through  PARENTS create an account for this website to create clearances for all of their children.  (Please do not use student’s ccusd email addresses) Physical exam forms are to be uploaded to or may be turned in to the school offices.  Should you have any questions, please contact Leslie Gardner 310-842-4200 ext. 3512 or via email at



Fall Sport Tryouts and Practices

Players must have a copy of a physical exam taken within the last year.  Players, please make sure to bring water, athletic shoes and proper athletic attire.


Athletes may try out during Summer Workout which will begin June 11, 2018 to June 28, 2018. Monday -Thursday, 2:30-5:00.

Freshman: Summer workouts will begin Tuesday, June 12th 2018 and will end on Wednesday July 25th 2018; Monday -Thursday from 1:30-4:00.

Summer camp will begin Friday August 10th 2018

        Spring practice will begin on May 7th 2018 and end on June 1, 2018. 3:30-5:30 Mon, Tues and  thur.

Cross Country

While there are no tryouts for Cross Country, students may join the team by coming to the summer practices which begin on June 18 , 2018 from 9am-10:30 am at Lindberg Park.  Practices will be held each week,Monday-Friday from 9am-10:30 am at Lindberg Park.  Additional evening practices for those who have conflicts will most likely be held Monday –Friday from 6pm-7:30 pm at Lindberg park.

Girls Tennis

Incoming 9th graders interested in playing high school tennis must have prior experience or training.  There is very limited space available for team practices.  Qualified individuals must report to the high school tennis courts at the appropriate time on Monday, June 18th.

Girls- 8am-10am/ Guys- 10am-12pm

Practices will be held at the CCHS tennis courts Monday-Friday June 18th- July 14th.

Girls- 8am-10am/ Guys- 10am-12pm

Culver City High School Cheer Tryouts this Monday March 5th. 
Turn in Athletic Packet and Spirit Contract by Thursday March 1.  
TRYOUT PROCEDURES Anyone interested in trying out for cheer or mascot must follow these instructions: 1. Complete the attached application, parent permission letter/cheer contract, Teacher Recommendation Forms, Grading Check, and Athletic Packet (including Physical). Physicals last one year. Any Physicals dated before April 1 2017 will have to be updated before practicing. Original physical to Athletic Office and copy to cheer advisor. Please turn in the competed application to Cheer mailbox in main office and athletic packet to Athletics Office in the main office by 3:30pm on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Late packets will result in points deducted.
2. Attend mandatory tryouts clinic. All tryout material and routines will be taught on these days only.
3. Must attend ALL mandatory tryout days, Monday, March 5, 3:00-5:30pm and Tuesday, March 6, 3:00- 5:30pm in cafeteria. Finals will take place on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 3:30-6:30. A call and email stating which tea position being offered.
4. Applicant must carry an unweighted GPA of 2.0 in order to tryout.
