Social and Emotional Intelligence: Why Courage, Creativity, and Collaboration Matter in College Admissions
What you will learn: When applying to college, students and parents understand the role of grades, course rigor, and standardized testing.
An increasingly important element is Social and Emotional Learning. In this presentation, you’ll learn how SEL distinguishes itself from
academic factors and why even the most selective of colleges place an immense value on empathy, ethical behavior, and engagement with others.
The Virtual College Fair is launching on Thursday, September 17th and will remain open for the school year! I have added information shared by over 100 colleges and universities for you all to explore and expand your college knowledge. Some of the colleges included virtual tours, virtual information sessions and more. Please take your time reviewing all the information in the fair.
To access the fair: You will log into your student canvas account. The fair is on the CCHS Counseling Canvas Page.
And is located in PAGES (2020 Virtual College Fair).
Please enjoy the virtual fair!
