Instructor BIO

Hi there!

My name is Mrs. Perdue-Smith and this is my second year teaching at Culver City High School. I proudly received my Masters degree in Special Education with a Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential from Loyola Marymount University and I  immediately lept at the opportunity to join the CCUSD family!

Joining the CCUSD family has been a dream come true! Consequently, I'm thrilled to be apart of both the Social Studies department and the Special Education team. Currently I teach Study Skills, provide special education support, and co-teach the following history courses: US History, World History, and Econ/ Gov. I'm love my job and most of all I love being a part of such a dynamic learning community!  I love teaching and I sincerely feel that's it is a privilege to help students develop critical thinking skills and grow their inquiring minds.

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of capacities which has fostered my ability to support student learning at various levels.I believe that the key to learning is to find the modality that best fits the learner and vary the  instructional modes to reach all learners. Therefore, I am looking forward to having the opportunity to work closely with parents and staff to develop strategic lessons that enrich the curriculum and foster student learning at an individual level.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my wonderful husband.
