I've been teaching here in Culver City since 1979 ! I started as a substitute teacher, worked 19 years at our continuation high school, Culver Park HS, and have been teaching here at Culver City High School since 2004.
I graduated from Yale University in 1974 with a B. A degree in Psychology and received my M.S. in Counseling from Cal/State Los Angeles. I have completed all the coursework for a PhD in Psychology at the California Graduate Institute and need to complete my dissertation to earn that degree.
My original teaching credential was in elementary education. I student taught in second grade and in sixth grade in New Haven, Connecticut. After moving to California from New York state, I added secondary teaching credentials in Social Science, Life Science and have a Pupil Personnel Services Credential which qualfies me to work as a school guidance counselor.
My current assignment at CCHS includes two electives: Psychology and Sociology. These classes are open to students in grade 11 or 12.
Finally, I live here in Culver City and am proud to say that my kids have gone through Culver City schools.
