Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I wholeheartedly believe in this sentiment. As such, I am excited to be a member of the Culver City High School community.
I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from high school, I attended community college and transferred to UC Berkeley, where I majored in Ethnic Studies. My undergraduate education changed my life and I knew that I wanted to be an educator. In 2006, I graduated from Stanford University with a Master’s in Education. Before arriving at CCHS, I taught for many years in Oakland Unified School District.
I love reading, cooking, watching TV and hanging out with my two young sons and two dogs. I love teaching and I know that we can change the world to become a more compassionate and inclusive place for all humans.
