12th Grade College Planning

As you begin your senior year, we’d like to offer some helpful advice, tips, and planning resources to support your success. Culver High offers a wide range of opportunities—both in and out of the classroom and we encourage you to challenge yourself and explore what inspires your personal growth.

Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your senior year:

Attend the College and Career Fair on Tuesday, September 16 from 6-8pm at the football field

Stay organized throughout the year, and don’t hesitate to ask your teachers for help or clarification.
Start your college applications now
Come to the College and Career Center for support from Mrs. Valverde and Ms. Madrid
Get involved by joining a club, playing a sport, volunteering in your community, or getting a part-time job.
Attend presentations on colleges and careers in the CCC.
Sign up for the SAT or ACT as most colleges want it completed before December!
Set small goals and track your progress to stay motivated and focused.
Continue to challenge yourself academically—take advantage of the many course offerings available at Culver High.
Maintain a healthy balance in all areas of your life, including your well-being, diet, and relationships.
Take time to unplug—disconnect from social media and engage with the world around you.
