12th Grade College Planning

As you begin your  senior year, we’d like to offer some helpful advice, tips, and planning resources to support your success. Culver High offers a wide range of opportunities—both in and out of the classroom and we encourage you to challenge yourself and explore what inspires your personal growth.

 

Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your senior year:

 

Attend the College and Career Fair on Tuesday, September 16 from 6-8pm at the football field

 

  • Stay organized throughout the year, and don’t hesitate to ask your teachers for help or clarification.

  • Start your college applications now
  • Come to the College and Career Center for support from Mrs. Valverde and Ms. Madrid
  • Get involved by joining a club, playing a sport, volunteering in your community, or getting a part-time job.

  • Attend presentations on colleges and careers in the CCC.
  • Sign up for the SAT or ACT as most colleges want it completed before December!
  • Set small goals and track your progress to stay motivated and focused.

  • Continue to challenge yourself academically—take advantage of the many course offerings available at Culver High.

  • Maintain a healthy balance in all areas of your life, including your well-being, diet, and relationships.

  • Take time to unplug—disconnect from social media and engage with the world around you.
