Jaden Kimura- The Social Construct of Success and Intelligence

“Dear attendees, my name is Jaden Kimura. It is probable that I will be studying Maths and Philosophy during my time at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. My participation at the high school has been broad, in particular within clubs as I hold the position of Inter-Club Council Chairman and participate in the Science Club, Journalism Club, Math club, Tolerance Club, Ballona Creek Renaissance Club, and Green Five. As an Environmentalist, I have also ran the Nature Conservation Club on campus for the past few years. I enjoy participating in academic aid to the school- serving as a peer tutor, academic mentor, a former math Chiron, and serving as a mentor for this year’s Calculus BC

class that I formed. In my free time I enjoy contemplating math and philosophy, cooking, and napping. I’m not entirely sure what I want to do in the future, but that’s okay. I only know that I will not end up in an office.”

Max Jordan- The Heart and Mind of a Runner

Max Jordan is a two sport, four year varsity runner. He is the captain of the Cross Country Team and is a second year captain of the Track Team. He will be attending Santa Monica College and then hopes to transfer to a four year university on a track scholarship.
