Biology (Period 6)

Course Description

In this course we will explore the nature of the biological sciences according to facts, theories, history, phenomena, themes and applications. Students will learn essential observational, investigative, and analytical skills. Topics include: ecology, biochemistry, cells, DNA, genetics and evolution. We will cover a lot of information in this course following the California’s Next Generation Science Standards. Students will also learn and develop effective study habits and scientific reading/note-taking skills. A Students success depends on their performance in and out of class.
