U.S. Government (Period 4) Assignments

 

Because I realize everyone's situation will be different, the following is the suggested schedule for the week. ALL assignments are due at the end of the week, however you may complete them at your own pace. Everything can be found posted on Google Classroom. PLEASE email me if you have any questions.

 

Tuesday, 3/16: Complete the "Before-You-Watch" survey and examine the results (you may need to wait a bit for other classmates to respond). Then answer the following question in 5+ sentences: Who do you think benefits from your smartphone/social media knowing your personal information? How? Reply to one of your classmates in 3+ sentences.

 

Wednesday, 3/17: Begin watching THE GREAT HACK on Netflix (email me directly if you don't have access and I can email you a video link to download). Answer PART 1 of the video questions as you watch. Pause the video at the 51 minute mark (before Mark Zuckerberg testifies to Congress). Be sure to "turn in" the assignment.

 

Thursday, 3/18: Finish watching THE GREAT HACK. Answer PART 2 of the video questions as you watch. Be sure to "turn in" the assignment.

 

Friday, 3/19: Complete the Chapter 9 Reading Quiz.

 

 

I will be "on call" during the regular work hours of 8-3:30 to answer any questions or concerns from both students and families. Please reach out first via email, which I am checking regularly, and we can set up another type of meeting (video conference, phone call, etc.) as is needed/preferred depending on your unique situation. My goal is to maximize my flexibility in order to accommodate and support each individual as best as possible.
