Hello Everyone! I hope you are all doing okay! Today I want you to work with documents pertaining to the Holocaust. You will be filling out the "Holocaust Document Analysis" chart and submitting this to me by Saturday, March 21st at midnight. Each of the documents are uploaded (Map of Jews Executed, Jewish Arrests and Executions, Death Camp Totals); please view them and type your responses into the worksheet. For the "Concentration Camp Worksheet", please fill in your answers and submit this to me by this Saturday, March st at Midnight. You will need to view the "Death Camp Totals" document to fill out "Concentration Camp Worksheet".

Today students took their Open-Note Quiz for Unit IX. If you were absent today, please be prepared to make up the quiz on Monday (bring all of your notes!). Next, I handed out the reading for the upcoming Socratic Seminar. I have attached the reading and the directions. Please read the story once this weekend and complete step two of the directions. Today students labeled all of the countries on their WWII Maps (Europe/North Africa and Asia/Pacific) using pages 492 and 499 of their textbook. Next, students reviewed this unit of information by completing the attached CLOZE documents. Lastly, we watched clips from "WWII in Colour" on the taking of land by the Japanese in the Pacific. ** Please note, Friday we will have an open-note quiz on the material from this mini-unit. Please make sure you come to class with all notes from the beginning of this unit, in order. I also strongly recommend that you review this material, despite this being open-note.

Today I did a brief review of propaganda and then students did a gallery walk of Stalin-era propaganda. Students filled out the attached propaganda poster analysis chart and then turned it in after we discussed all of the posters as a class. Today we started Unit VIII: Revolutions and Nationalism in Russia, China, Mexico, and India. We started off by doing a Russian Revolution jigsaw on important characters in the Russian Revolution. Students then listened and analyzed the American WWI song, "Over There". Next, students did a gallery walk of World War I propaganda from various Central Powers and Allied Powers nations and filled out a an analysis chart as they walked.
