AP Calculus AB (Period 2) Assignments

Here are the defense assignments that are due in addition to the test corrections.  

They are due in class on Tuesday.  Finals are Wed-Fri

As was stated in class the last couple of days, if you want to come by on Saturday from 8-10 I will be here helping those in geometry and calculus.  Go in through the student parking entrance.  If nothing is open, email me at [email protected] and I will try to let you in.

Today we practice Curve Sketching with graphs.  It is the same thing as with equations but we don't actually have to calculate the derivative.

Today in class we did a quick write of all the things we remember about derivatives.  I did it along with you so I have uploaded my list.  Remember it doesn't have everything in great detail but it is a good outline to show what concept you need to have.

So today we started to look at notation questions that deal with limit definition of the derivative.  We have also looked at finding a shortcut for finding derivatives, starting with the power rule.  Make sure you have these notes copied down!

So we just learned some basic rules/shortcuts for derivatives.  Before we learn more shortcuts we are doing to study what differentiable means and its connection to continuity.  Please copy these notes by Monday.  The last couple of pages are the filled in version of the graphs and conclusions from earlier pages of the notes.
