Hello, Ethnic Studies Scholars!
I hope you are having a great Monday. The link to the Google Doc that MUST be SUBMITTED by the end of the class period can be found here: https://goo.gl/forms/4fLnTfoJYPDcwNws2
Follow the instructions on the form and use this period to do some real research to start building an answer to your question. Also, try to figure out how you will save your websites and links for your research (ie google doc? research page in your notebook, etc.)
Cool - have fun and be productive. If you finish this work super early and need something else to do - go on Aeries and figure out if you have missing assignments in ES that you can work on.
Bye.
P.S. Some places you might want to use to get started on the Mass Incarceration Research.

Assignment
Good Morning!
Today you will each create a mindmap and then one key term for our class word wall. The sub will provide the instructions for the mindmap. It needs to be pretty big, so if you would like to take a sheet of larger paper from the wood table in the classroom, you are welcome to. You can always fold and tape the mindmap into your notebook once it is complete.
The terms are listed on the word doc. You only need to select 15 terms to include on your mindmap. Please spend some time on this assignment, the outcome needs to be reflective of your effort.
On the terms word doc, you will see your name listed next to a term, that is the word that you are responsible for defining, providing an example and representing the term with an image for our class word wall. There is blank paper on the back table for your term.
Good luck! There are a few resources/glossaries attached to help with your definitions.

Hello Scholars! I just looked at the calendar for the week and noticed that I will be gone on Thursday to chaperone a field trip to UCLA. So, you will have the entire class period on Thursday to prepare for Friday's discussion. I am placing the reading here in case you need it in a larger format.
