A friendly PSA on allele frequency calculations: 

Many of you are having difficulty calculating allele frequencies when the question specifically says that the population was NOT in HW equilibrium. You cannot do the calculation using the HW equations in this case. Students need to read the question very carefully to see what the question is asking. T minus 6 days...  See attached document.

READ the lab 5 handout, MAKE A DETAILED FLOW CHART of each step of the lab so that you will know exactly what needs to be done.  You will want to do this over the weekend.
 
FILL OUT THE BACTERIAL GROWTH PREDICTION PAGE using blue or black INK - NO PENCIL.  Make sure that you indicate what it means if there is growth or if there is no growth.
 
Be ready to start working as soon as you get to class on Tuesday.  You will NOT be allowed to perform the lab unless you have both a flow chart and a prediction page. EACH STUDENT MUST HAVE HIS/HER OWN PAGES with your name on them.
