Due:

Assignment

Here is the 2nd page where you can find resources to help you prepare to review for the test.

  1. "AP Calc AB in One Page" - should have all the formulas we covered in class.
  2. "Calc Terms AB BC Review When you see this do this" - This is good practice to help you better understand the directions of an AP problem and what to do.

Due:

Assignment

Today we tried out first timed FRQ on volumes.  On Friday we are moving onto our next FRQ theme which is integration with graph analysis.

Due:

Assignment

Here are the last set of notes for CALC AB!  You made it.  From here on out we are preparing for the test.

Tonight do the Area and Volumes FRQ question take it as if it were a test: give yourself around 15 minutes and use a calculator as it is part of the calculator active frq.  It is the 2014 #2 FRQ

Bring questions to class and finish strong!

Due:

Assignment

Today we got the second practice AP test for you to study with.

Posted here are the notes on MVT.

Also what you need to do is to start to create a calendar for what you are going to study and when.  I have given in class and posted here an outline of the course to help you create a plan.

Have a good spring break and please study!

Due:

Assignment

On Monday you will get an integration assessment.  It will be 4 questions, indefinite integration, finding C given a point, definite integration and u-sub.

Here are the notes homework and key to volume integration cross section.

Also if you want to hear about cross section again here are some youtube videos that I found helpful

Due:

Assignment

Today we covered how to find the area between two curves.

Highlights include but not limited to:
a.  How to find the intersection of two graphs using a calculator
b.  How to integrate with respect to y

Posted here are the notes blank and filled as well as the homework with solutions.

Due:

Assignment

Today we went over how the integral can be used as an accumulator and unit analysis to find out what the integral means in the context of real world problems.

Posted here are the notes, homework and solutions.

See me if you have any questions!

Due:

Assignment

Here is the notes/examples for FTC 1 as well as the practice of what to expect on the AP test.

Here are two videos that might help if you were absent in class.  Remember to come see me for help as well!!

Due:

Assignment

1.  Here is the notes for
FTC Part 2 definite integration

And the practice for

2.  Definite Integration Practice with Key
3.  Integral Properties for Wednesday Quick Check

Wednesday Quick Check involves Riemann Sums and Integral Properties.  The quick after that will be on indefinite integration, finding the constant C, definite integration and  U-Sub for both

Due:

Assignment

Here are the u-sub notes homework and key.  Also note there are alternative ways of doing some of the trig u-sub problems so if you get stuck on way do it the other way!

Due:

Assignment

1.)  Posted here is the timeline for the rest of the topics left for Calculus AB.  Note we plan to finish everything except inverse function and inverse trig topics after we get back from break.

2.)  Separable Differential Equations notes homework and solutions are posted here as well.

AP style differential equation problem

3.) For slope fields if you are still confused about it here is a good video explaining how to do it.

Due:

Assignment

Today we covered slopefields and you were assigned the homework.  Here are the answers and annotated notes we took in class.

Please note that you might not be able to do all of the parts to problems 17 and 18 just yet.  I put the answers if you want to try to figure it out but we will be starting that discussion in the second half of tomorrows class.

In the meantime I created a problem 19 that you should be able to do and have posted the answers for this new problem as well.  Study hard!

This Wednesday we will have a short quiz on basic integral solving for antiderivatives.

If you want to see a slope field generator here is what desmos has so you can check your work as well.

Due:

Assignment

Note the due date because we are moving onto a new topic on Monday!

1.  Indefinite Integration U-Sub Notes
2.  Additional Model card of how to do u-sub with notation only and the example we went over in class but with thought bubbles and more explanation of the steps taken.

3.  Indefinite Integration U-Sub Homework
Part b. is trying to see if you can correctly pick the term to u-sub with.
Part c. is the full solutions to the problem

1.  Related Rates
2.  Optimization
3.  Riemann Sums

Due:

Posted here are the notes we did to start our transition from Riemann Rectangle approximations and to use the new intgeral notation as well as the next set of homework problems.  Please try to get the homework done sometime in the next day or so.

Due:

Assignment

Here is the next set of notes that deal with approximating area.  Homework is posted here for approximating area as well.

Due:

Assignment

Okay so here is all the stuff for summation.
1.)  Notes we took in class
2.)  In class work on simplifying sigma expressions with answers.  These problems will not be tested on but serve as introduction to sigma type problems which appears frequently in college level math.  If you don't get to them, thats okay make sure you understand curve sketching and derivative based word problems.
3.)  I also posted here flash cards that cover all of Calc AB so if you need a study aid this would be a good place to start.

Here is a youtube video about sigma notation

Due:

Assignment

Here are the complete notes and homework for related rates.

Due:

Assignment

Today you got a two question optimization self quiz.  It wasn't the most difficult but went through a lot of the types of questions you will be asked about optimization.  This coupled with the packet problems should round out type of question and difficulty of this topic.

Tomorrow we start related rates and should be done with that by tuesday/wednesday of next week.

Due:

Welcome back from break.  These next two weeks are are covering optimization and related rates.  You got the notes for optimization in class and here is the full notes and answers to the homework.

Also posted here are the answers to the group problem you did in class.

Here is some videos to help you understand the concept.
