Assignment

You will be reading another book outside of class for a literature circle (like you did last semester for the non-fiction book). This time I would like you to choose one of the works of fiction listed here (see attachment). This list was compiled by the College Board, the group that makes the AP tests, so these are important books to have under your belt.
Make a list of 5 titles with a brief synopsis and reason why you want to read it. (Just a couple sentences is fine.) You will be positing your choices to the class to form book groups.
Please avoid these titles as you will likely be reading these as part of an English class at CCHS:
The Great Gatsby
Lord of the Flies
The Odyssey
The Crucible
Animal Farm
Midsummer Night's Dream
Romeo&Juliet
Hamlet
Macbeth
The Catcher in the Rye
To Kill a Mockingbird
