Read "Straw into Gold" by Sandra Cisneros.  It is located on page 1228 of your textboook, or you can read the attached pdf.

Please bring in an article from a CREDIBLE source about any current event that interests you.  You must write a 2 sentence summary and provide 3 discussion questions.  Write these directly on the article.

Please write a 300-400 word opinion piece on MLK's non-violent message.  Is it still important or even valid today?  This is your opinion!  Due tomorrow.  I prefer typed.
