Algebra 2 Honors (Period 5) Assignments

Here is the retesting procedure you need to complete in order to demonstrate that you have prepared for the retest.  You will also have time in class to prepare for this.

All of the finals have been graded and uploaded.  I will post the outline of what needs to be done to retest later this weekend.

Tonight homework is from the textbook page 363 - 364 Problems 1-8  the answers for the homework are posted here for you to use.

1.)  As requested here is a our current outline for the year and what to study.  Keep in mind it can change slightly due to how if we need more time with certain subjects.  Hope it will help you =)

3.)  Tonight's and Tomorrow's homework is the possible rational roots worksheet.  Have it done tomorrow!  (good job getting last nights homework done!)

A few words about the effort from some of you in class.

 

As stated in class there needs to be a little more work understanding the material on your part.  If you can't solve a problem look to the answer sheet provided to help give you some clues as how to proceed.  If that doesn't help by all means come to see me for additional help or like we did in class today we went over some of the problems that you had questions with.  You should be doing some kind of math review EVERYDAY. 

 

 

Hi Gang,

1.)  Got a calendar to please plan and schedule when you are going to study for the final.  Remember as stated last week in class you will take the first round of the final before Winter Break.  So plan it out and do not cram the day before the test because it will not work.

 

2.)  In class you got a factoring worksheet please do as much as you need depending on your level of need to review factoring.

 

3.)  Polynomial sketching worksheet these are modeled off the problems you got in class.  If there are somethings that don't make sense please review your notes and if that doesn't still doesn't help be ready to ask me a question in class.  Do not say that you don't get it as there is some part you do and can know if you read over and study your notes.  Good Luck

For Side B its the same directions with tougher problems so make sure to see the work if you are having trouble with it.

Reminder that your retest for CC 3 is due tomorrow.  Please remember that in order to retest you need to bring in the packet of work to demonstrate you are ready to retest.

5.)  Simplify Square root and i:  Practice on how to turn square roots with negative numbers inside into imaginary numbers.

 

6.)  Add and Subtract Complex and Key:  In case you lost the add and subtract complex numbers practice.

 

Ok here are the solutions to the word problem sets.  Please come to class tomorrow with questions you have about it that you couldn't figure out from the solutions and we will definitely go over them in class! =)

 

Also over the weekend I gave you a practice unit test.  Don't feel bad if you couldn't do half of it!  Use it to see what problems you can do and what you still need to work on or learn!

Problems 17-24 will be word problems that we didn't cover yet but please try them and bring your questions to class as well as what you attempted to do to make sense of the problem.

As you know 5 week progress reports were based off the of the quick check and will be changed as soon as this mastery check is given on Thursday.  You will have opportunities to change the grade throughout the year the final change will be during the final.  So don't worry about the current grade too much since it will change.  The better question is whether you have gotten better understanding the material now than you did back in the day.

 

1.  As you all know your Mastery Check for your grade is on Thursday.  Please prepare questions as well as practice not only for understanding but also to be able to do the problems efficiently, which means be able to work out problems fairly quickly.

 

2.  Practice in class is also posted here in case you wanted to work at home, which is strongly encourage =).

First don't forget you have  your first mastery check on Monday.  It doesn't get graded but will show if you have gotten better to what we have already learned and show you a little of what is to come.  

 

Aside from that you guys worked really hard today to figure things out!  Thanks for all those who found some mistakes in my answer key.  Very sorry about that, I will do better in the future.  I fixed them and have the solutions and original blank documents to try.  Here is the list

1.  Today's homework is an easy worksheet that involves increase and decrease intervals of a graph.  Please bring any questions you have to class tomorrow so we can add it into our notes.  I also attached solutions for the problems so you can check your work.
