Tuesday in class we discussed the question "Why is it important to study history" (good answers!). I introduced what "arguments" are vs. "facts" in history, and we discussed the importance of strong evidence when making an argument. (From the attached document) we analyzed Source #1 as a class and filled in the chart below it. Students then got into groups, read and analyzed Sources #2 and #3 and filled in their respective charts. Students are expected to finish analyzing and filling in the charts of Sources 1-3 by Wednesday. The entire assignment is due Thursday.
