Chapter 18 (few pages ) and Chapter 20 Study Guide

þ    Outline on loose-leaf paper (not in your spiral) the pages from Chapter 21 which relate to this unit: 588-592, 605-608, 630-633.  When outlining, do not rewrite complete sentences from the textbook.  You don’t want to rewrite the textbook.  Determine what are the main ideas and the supporting facts.  Highlight names, terms, events, documents, etc…

þ    Read and take Left-Side notes from the article “Agricultural Revolution” (ABC-CLIO).

þ    Read and take Left-Side notes from the article “Why was the Agricultural Revolution so important to industrial change?”  Use the Bold sub-headings as your guide.

þ    Read article “Why was Britain the first country to have an Industrial Revolution?”  Using the information from the article and Spielvogel page 553-554 and Palmer 429-432 complete the GPERSIA chart

þ    Due Monday January 12: Open PDF titled “APEH OTB Examining Historical Eras”.  Print only pages 2-7 titled “European History from the Renaissance through Napoleon”.  This is to help you start reviewing for your final exam.

A-6-Just does the minimum.  I did allow for the lack of real attribution where it says "In document #..." so you can see a basic 6.  Has a thesis, 8 documents, Doc 4 was an incorrect group but only 1 misinterpretation so still 7 correct.  Gets point 4 as all parts of the question are answered.  The POVs are crummy but there: 1, 4, 7, and there are 3 groups

B-1-Oy!!  7 documents.  Urgh, doesn't have double attribution so kind of annoying, right!

D-3- No thesis, thus no point 1 or 4, 7 documents and used relatively correctly (no credit for document 10 which is technically in the wrong group), 3 groups

H-9-You should be able to figure out why.  However DO NOT do that thing where the student combined documents into one sentence (see the first body paragraph).  Waste of time.  So annoying.

Create an organized list for the reasons for people's discontent toward the Church as well as acts of by the church prior to 1517 (so don't include everything Luther did). 

This should be at least 1 1/2 pages.  Be specific and give details about events or what people did.  But pay close attention to significance/results when people lost faith in the cCh

Only refer to the front page of de Medici biographies (Cosimo il Vecchio is on the front). Quickly read the paragraph and for each Medici list 2 facts that you think are the most important about each one.
