Assignment
On Monday we will be starting a new topic so make sure you get enough practice in before then!
This is just to make sure everybody has access to the questions we did in class to make sure you have enough to practice with over the weekend.
Use your quick checks to help you figure out what you need to work on.
Summary of the files posted here.
1) U6 Learning Target Log: The learning target goals of what we will want to cover this unit. Most likely due to time we will incorporate any unit 6 test questions into the final. We will have more "quick checks" to make sure she is comfortable with the material.
2) Unit 6A Active Practice.pdf CLOUD AND STAR: This was the first work we did with the definition of one to one functions and inverses. Answers are included except for the star problems.
3) LT6A Inverse Function GREEN: Practice using the composition and the inverse function fact, f(g(x))=x
4) Log Active Practice WHITE: Introduction to Logs and work with basic problems. Problems can be done without a calculator
5) Inverse Functions Practice 2 YELLOW: After mini quiz self scored and if they need to review they start with these problems before moving on.
6) 06Operations on Functions: Currently we are here and will do work on these problems Friday the 16th.
Okay guys almost to the end of the year, keep working hard!

Here is the active practice we did in class for you to try, with solutions!

Here are some more questions in addition to what you have done before in class. See previous posted homework for more problems.

Update 4/22/14
I have added extra notes to help clear things up about interest and compound interest. I will try to post corrected answers up as needed in the next day or so.
Next week (thursday or friday block depending on the period) will be your unit 5 test. Start to go over your notes!
1) Star and Cloud active practice and solutions
2) Geometric Series and Sequence problems and word problems
Due:
Assignment
With the current stuff we have been learning here is a few places to read up more on it, if you need some more resources.
First there are some worksheets for more additional practice.
Second here is a page to help
Geometric pattern is each number is multiplied by the same number called the common ratio.
Overall a sequence is numbers in a pattern
Series is to add up all the numbers in the pattern
Now we just started sigma notation
Now if you youtube these terms you will learn more about it as well.
Here are a few additional worksheets if you want to practice more

Hi guys
1. If you are having a hard time with the problems and not able to make sense of the active practice I will post answers here. In the meantime please look at the in-depth notes to help you work through some of the concepts covered in the past as well as today. I hope it helps you make sense of the concepts in class.
2. The all Active practice for LT 5A are posted here with solutions and some detailed answers for selected problems.
Due:
Assignment
Two Things
1. Remember that you need to have all your work ready to go in order for you to be able to redo learning targets tomorrow and you can redo at most two learning targets.
2. Keep working on how many dominos it will take to knock down the skyscraper we chose in class.
Due:
Assignment
*UPDATE 3/5/14 THERE WERE SOME ERRORS IN LT4D PLEASE PRINT OUT THE NEW ANSWER SHEET FOUND IN LT4D FILE. SORRY ABOUT THAT.
Once the review problems are done you can retest 2 LTs of your choice. Keep in mind though, whatever the new score is that is your current level of understanding and better or worse will be entered in.
Okay so here are the outline and the review problems that must be completed before you are allowed to retest 2 LT's.
Please note there are some changes from the reflection page and you should do what the outline on these files state.
Make sure to make them neat and organized showing all work. Answers are either given or can be checked in class. They will not be posted online so make sure you get them checked sometime before Friday.
Due:
Assignment
Okay so far the test is going to be planned for Tuesday but it seems that the people I talked to that they might need more time so I probably move the test to Thursday, sorry I don't want to change it but I really want to make sure a majority of you are ready for the test and had ample time to practice. Thanks for your understanding.
Here is the digital form of the stations that you can use to practice with. Most of it you should have time in class to do. Remember doing problems only go so far, redoing notes, making model cards, and concepts will help you retain the how and why longer that just doing problems.
Here is the list of files that I uploaded.

Assignment
Currently we are finishing up our modeling unit at the end of the chapter.
Try to work on getting up to level three since it will involve your previous skills to fully solve all the parts.
Due:
Assignment
Please practice as needed on the
Unit 4 LT Log
1. Fundamental Theorem of Algebra worksheet
2. Descartes Rule of Signs. Solutions to the problems are attached
