Grammar of el libro, scale of 1 – 10

10 = no errors at all

9 = spelling or accent errors

8 = a few minor grammar and spelling/accents

7 = minor grammar and spelling/accent

6 = minor and major grammar errors and spelling/accents

5 = significant errors to where it is difficult to understand the message

4 = majority errors but still able to understand

3 = majority errors, barely able to understand

2 = unable to understand, but can see the effort

1 = unable to understand and no sign of effort

El proyecto del horóscopo chino

Necesitas tres frases, una frase con tu nombre, otra con la fecha de tu nacimiento, y la ultima con el nombre de tu animal del horóscopo chino (10 puntos for grammar and comprehension). Depsues, make una lista de adjectivos from your horosocope animal that you think apply to you and a second lista de adjectivos from your horoscope animal that you don’t think apply to you. (5 puntos, spelling, gender, and plurality agreement). Un mínimo de cinco características cada lista, 10 en total. Then draw or have a printout of your horoscope animal (3 puntos). A total of 18 points. Up to 2 points extra credit for exceptionally nice looking projects :)

 

Can be done by hand or typed. 

1. BY HAND, write el español tres veces y el ingles una vez, this goes on the back of your poster. (16 points)
2. BY HAND, label drawings/cut outs/photos/etc. of the clothing on the front of the poster. Use one image per word, not one image with five words. (16 points)
3. Visuals, was the project slapped together at the last moment or was a reasonable amount of time taken to ensure the accuracy and aesthetic placement of the visuals and words. (5 points)
4. Crédito Extra: Write el español una vez mas on the back of the poster (4 points, mas de10% of the grade)

This year, I feel so fortunate to teach an amazing group of young adults; they have been one of my best groups of students ever! I am so lucky to have been given the opportunity to know them!

For Christmas this year, I want all my students to reflect upon what they’ve done so far in Spanish and to challenge themselves to do more. I want all my students to strive for a higher grade, even if they have a 99%. I want all my students to utilize Peer Tutoring, Link Crew Tutoring, friends, neighbors, the internet, and their teacher to help them learn better. Most of all, I want all my students to try speaking the language outside of class!!!!
