This course trains students for entry-level employment in a variety of web design occupations. This course incorporates on-the-job training for students in paid and unpaid positions. Students learn core web design topics including web site construction, graphic design, communication design and web design terminology while completing web design training in basic HTML, graphic programs, HTML editing programs, and creating and designing web sites. Students will learn about the career ladder in the web design field and have the opportunity to network with experts in the field. This course aligns with and/or incorporates the State Occupational Content Standards, National Educational Technology Standards, State Language Arts and Mathematics, High School Exit Exam Standards, Career Performance Standards and the LACOROP Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs).

This week we'll be reviewing HTML Basics. After taking a break from HTML and CSS, we explored image editing using GIMP and I am thoroughly impressed with your performance.
We will cover HTML Basics and then progress to HTML5.

When you have completed your review of each topic, take the QUIZ. Click the second link to access the quiz or you will also see the link under the HTML Examples subheading. Take the QUIZ until you are able to score 90% or above.
