You are babysitting your younger neighbor; create a chart with six affirmative commands and matching pictures telling the child various things they need to do. Each box on the chart should have one simple command with a picture that matches the command. Each sentence is worth 3 points (grammar and spelling), any repeating verbs or sentences will earn zero points. The picture must match the sentence and is worth 1 point (neat and easy to recognize). As you have all of break to complete this project, no glorified stick figures will be accepted; draw, print, cut out pictures from a magazine. Due lunes, el ocho de abril. Each day late is a 10% reduction in the grade. If you lose the six box chart, print it from online (located with the homework and agendas). Total points: 24

Assignment
I am thrilled to announce that CCHS is taking students abroad during Spring Break of 2014! Students will have the exciting opportunity to explore the rich culture of Spain on an Education First (EF) Educational Tour.
As a person who experienced a high school trip that changed the course of her life, I can state that this trip is more than a unique experience. In addition to opening their eyes to a different world, this trip will set your child’s college application apart from the thousands of other applications that college admission boards review every year. Traveling now prepares students for the realities of a global economy by allowing them to understand all the opportunities that are possible after graduation. I want your child to have the same advantages that over a hundred thousand other children gain every year by traveling abroad on educational tours.
We have chosen to travel with EF because they are the only student travel agency that can offer over 40 years of experience, scholastic accreditation and the security of having offices throughout the world. Because of their long standing presence, EF guarantees the lowest prices for their trips without sacrificing quality. The cost of this trip includes roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations (very nice hotels, no scary youth hostels), a full-time EF Tour Director (completely bilingual), two meals a day, entrance fees to planned attractions, and guided sightseeing at all locations. This is an opportunity for your child to be educated through an incomparable cultural experience that will change what they expect from themselves, our world and their future.
Our EF representative and myself are holding a meeting to discuss this trip in further detail and to field any questions. The meeting will be held in my class, room 67, on Monday, March 4th at 6:30pm, please feel free to come late if you have a conflict. If you wish, you will be able to sign up for the trip during this meeting (with the $95 deposit
To sign up online for the program or to see more information, please visit http://www.eftours.com/preview-tour.aspx?gt=1322364. Currently, the price of the trip is only $3,245. This price includes everything (even an amazing insurance package) except one meal a day (lunch) and tips. Yes, everything! I know, you might think this is a lot of money, but if you were to do the same trip on your own it would be much more expensive; this is a great deal!

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX) was established in 1983 to celebrate German-American friendship based on common values of democracy. Secondary school students live with host families, attend local schools, and participate in community life in Germany. Young professionals (undergraduates) and high school graduates of vocational studies ages 18-24 study and participate in practical training. Scholarships are now available for academic year 2013-14; application deadlines vary by U.S. region and range from September 2012 to January 2013. For more information and application deadlines, visit the organization in charge of recruitment for your state at USAGermanyScholarship.org.
The American Youth Leadership Program offers opportunities for American high students and educators to travel abroad on a three- to four-week-long exchange program to gain first-hand knowledge of foreign cultures and to collaborate on solving global issues. Several different organizations implement this program, and each has organized an academic and experiential educational exchange focused on dialogue and debate, leadership development, and community service. Recruitment areas and application deadlines vary, so please check the American Youth Leadership Program website for more information.
