Evolution test on chapters 15, 16, 17 is on Friday, April 27.

Evolution study guide is due on Thursday, 4/26.

Make sure that I have approved your experimental Hypothesis statement - written in your lab book - before April 24. The entire project is due on June 6.

Complete the review packet that you were given and started to work on in class on Friday, March 23. It is due the day we come back from vacation, April 9.

Students who want to get ahead can read chapter 13 and/or listen to the Odyssey lessons on Genetic Engineering that are posted on the Odyssey site.

Those students who missed the Genetics test will take it during class time on Monday, April 9. No Exceptions!

Review all vocabulary and concepts we have studied and prepare for a short Quiz on Tuesday. Write down all questions that you have and be prepared to go over all homework in class on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Access Odyssey lessons to help you review. Our chapter test on Genetics is on Thursday!

Your chapter 12 test is on Friday - TOMORROW!

Your DNA models are due NO LATER THAN the start of your class period on Wednesday, March 7. I will be in class at 7:30 am that day so you may bring your models into my classroom before school if you wish.

Complete worksheets 83/79 and color the page on mutations. These are both due on Tuesday.

Complete worksheet page 82 and color page 97.

Complete worksheets 80 and 81 and the nucleotide worksheet we used in class on Monday.

Cut out the nucleotides you received in class on Friday and bring them to class on Monday. We will use them for an in-class activity.

Begin work on your DNA model. It is due on MARCH 7!

Make a crossword puzzle using at least 30 of the terms on the vocabulary page you received in class. Be sure to include the clues AND THE SOLUTION. This is due on Wednesday of next week.

Remember to complete your karyotype and the question page and bring them to the Tech Center on Tuesday ALONG WITH A PAIR OF HEADPHONES so that you can listen to the Odyssey lesson.

Finish meiosis puzzle activity if you did not finish in class. Start work on your crossword puzzle.

Answer the following questions based on the trial scripts you read in class:

1. Do prokaryotes have mitosis or meiosis?
2. Crossover occurs between homologous pairs of chromosomes, but can it occur between two different chromosomes, say between #1 and #17?
3. Was it an evolutionary necessity that meiosis evolved at the same time as sexual reproduction?

Learn the vocabulary (prefix and suffix list) that you received in class on 2/1.
Prepare for a quiz on these terms on 2/8.

Complete worksheet pages 146/73 that you received in class and bring them to class on Tuesday.

Color the mitosis diagram that we started in class and complete worksheet page 145 (the right side of the worksheet from the previous night).

Color the cell cycle diagram as explained in class.
Complete the left-hand side of the worksheet (page 144) that you were given in class.
