English 9 HONORS (Period 1) Assignments

Write two pages in your journal this week.  FOUR pages will be collected on FRIDAY!

Read pages 207-215 in your text by Thursday.

All presentations must be completed by Wed.

Read "The Bells" on pages 201-203 in your text.  Bring your text and non fiction to class on Friday!

Poetry presentations begin Monday.  You MUST go on the date assigned or you will receive a ZERO!

Write two pages in the journal this week.  Journals will be collected on Friday.

Write an outline and your first 5 paragraph draft for your persuasive essay.  You may choose ANY topic to write about.  Read pages 507-510 for directions and an example.

The outline is DUE FRIDAY and the 1st draft is DUE MONDAY!

Read pages 441-444 and answer questions 1-3 in 4 well written sentences for EACH!

Find 6 favorite scenes from the novel you just read.  (Of Mice and Men or Animal Farm)

In a six section story board write one quote from each scene and make a visual representation of each scene in a colorful and creative way.

Bring your text until further notice!

Complete questions 1-3 after the "I Have a Dream" Speech in the text with a total of 12 sentences.

Bring orange text books starting on Wed.
