Description

We started offering AP JPN5 in 2007 when the AP Japanese Language and Culture Exam was first offered. Our AP JPN5 students have been extremely successful since the first administration of the AP Japanese exam, and I am pleased that all 10 students passed the AP exam in 2008, which is unprecedented.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
JPN4
This is the fourth-year Japanese class where students will learn more in-depth vocabulary as well as grammatical structures. They will be immersed in Japanese as they continue to develop skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing based on the previously acquired skills. The students are expected to communicate in Japanese all the time in this class. In addition, there will be many opportunities to explore Japanese customs and culture through tea ceremony, food, videos, projects, music, art, sports, guest speakers, e-mail, calligraphy, and a possible field trip.
