Grasso, Cathy » Home

Hello my name is Catherine Grasso and I am currently teaching 5 periods of Biology at Culver City High School. I have been teaching science for 18 years and have taught AP Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology, and Health.  My favorite part of teaching is observing students as they learn to love and truly understand science.  Although I love all of the sciences my favorite subject is ecology and I am very passionate about environmental science.
In college I earned a BS degree in Biology and Environmental Science before going on to earn a Teaching Credential and Master's Degree in Education.  I worked briefly in the field of Environmental Consulting before I became a teacher.
In my spare time I volunteer with a local animal rescue organization.  I also love to go hiking, to cook, take long walks, and go to the beach.
