Hello!

I teach two visual art classes at the high school: Drawing & Painting and Art & Culture. I am also the yearbook adviser.

I live here in Culver City, where I am an advocate for the arts and equity, in all its forms. I believe everyone is an artist! My philosophy in the art room is that art is practice and we need to connect with our own personal style, without comparing ourselves to others. The more we practice, the more comfortable we are with our art making. I also encourage personal expression in projects as well as exploration of identity and culture.

I am a proud Latina, born in Argentina, and a Californian since I was 7. I was raised by two Mathematicians who instilled in me an awe of math and science, a respect for art, literature and music, and a love for films. I still consider myself an English learner at heart and love any discussion about language and culture. I'm proud to say I am bilingual and biliterate. 

I completed my B.A. in Psychology and Social Welfare at U.C. Berkeley, and my B.F.A. in Painting and Photography from Hunter College in NYC. My Visual Art Teaching Credential is from Cal State LA, with a Bilingual Authorization to teach in Spanish.

Enseño dos clases en el departamento de bellas artes en CCHS: Dibujo/Pintura y Arte y Cultura. También soy la maestra del anuario.

Vivo aquí en Culver City, donde lucho para más programación de arte, y para la igualdad de acceso. Creo que todo el mundo es un artista! Mi filosofía es que el arte es práctica y necesitamos conectarnos con nuestro propio estilo, sin compararnos con los demás. Cuanto más practicamos, más cómodos nos sentimos con nuestra creación artística. Creo en la importancia de la expresión personal en los proyectos, y la exploración de la identidad y la cultura.

Estoy orgullosa de ser latina, nacida en Argentina y una Californiana desde los 7 años. Fui criada por dos padres matemáticos que me inculcaron el respeto por las matemáticas y la ciencia, el amor al arte, la literatura,  la música, y el cine. Todavía me considero un aprendiz de inglés y amo cualquier discusión sobre lenguaje y cultura. Estoy orgullosa de ser bilingüe.
