The Story of Ms. Rachel Snyder
Growing up on the other side of the Santa Monica Mountains I was a true "Valley Girl", living quite close to the original Sherman Oak's Galleria. I ventured to "The City" 26 years ago when I began teaching history at Culver City High School.
Before arriving at CCHS, I attended University of California, Santa Barbara where I earned my B.A. in History. Fortunately I had the opportunity to study abroad both my Junior and Seniors years at the Hebrew University of Jersusalem. Upon returning to the States I earned my teaching credential in Social Studies at the University of California, Irvine. I also have a M.A. in American Studies from Pepperdine University.
I am an avid traveler having set foot into 55 countries around the world. I try to develop an interest in traveling among my students through anecdotes and travel pictures included in powerpoints of the places we are studying.
I love history, and I love teaching.
