Jane Templin is the Outreach Director for the Electrical Training Institute that provides apprenticeship training which industries use to train people with little or no prior knowledge of a craft or trade, to become capable, qualified craftsmen or journeymen. It is an "earn while you learn program". The "on the job" portion of the training is a full time, well paid job.
The apprentices are employed workers. They have a contract which includes regular wage increases and diversified training.
You are paid good wages while you learn, working full time and attending 6 hours of classes per week.
