Meet Susan, a Field Primatologist and Biological Anthropology professor at UCLA. Her research focus is on the social behavior of wild capuchin monkeys in Costa Rica. Susan has studied the same population of the capuchin monkeys for years, following them and documenting their lives, much like Jane Goodall's study of wild chimpanzees. She also runs a nonprofit foundation devoted to research on, conservation of, and education about capuchin monkeys. She also does environmental education outreach in and works with the Costa RIcan park service to try to preserve the tropical dry forest in which the monkeys live.
