Next, we did a "warm-up" on the "current" situation of Vietnam. We then discussed the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot coming to power in Cambodia and the genocide there. Today we finished up the notes from yesterday regarding Stalin's changes to the Soviet Union and the manipulation of the people through various forms of propaganda. We then did a "gallery walk" of Stalin-era propaganda posters and students filled out an analysis chart for each poster. We are starting with the Russian Revolution, so today students paired up and did a pair-share on the attached chart of people involved in the Russian Revolution.
