Theatre I (Period 5)

Course Description

Theatre I is a survey course introducing students to all aspects of theatre-making, including the topics listed below. By studying these theatre trades, students will also learn how to evaluate theatre and appreciate various styles of the art. Guest artists will be featured throughout the semester. Students are required to see and critique two professional productions. This course is part of the CTE (Career Technical Education) Performing Arts Pathway. Course curriculum is aligned with CTE Standards which overlap and correlate with Common Core Standards.
