Ehsaan Mesghali is a creative director trained in architecture, professionally involved in branding, illustration, fabrication and digital design since 2007. Holding senior design positions at various architecture firms and creative marketing agencies in the Los Angeles area, today he works primarily as a design consultant and educator.
Professional roles in the past have involved creative solutions for internationally-recognized brands including Adidas, Apple, Audi, Nike, Target and Christian Dior. More recent clients have been focused in the music and entertainment space, working with established artists and event brands.
Having taught at institutions of higher learning across the nation since 2012, and with a professional background that touches on multiple disciplines at an advanced level, Mr. Mesghali was tasked by the district to create the Architecture and Design pathway at Culver City High School in 2017 under the CTE (Career Technical Education) curriculum.
Students in the course will learn to master industry-standard software (Rhino3D and Adobe Illustrator) to create complex three dimensional forms and two dimensional graphics and illustrations. Students who complete the 2-year pathway will be beyond prepared to enter a 5-year professional degree in architecture from an accredited academic institution.
Mr. Mesghali obtained his Bachelors of Architecture from California Polytechnic University Pomona in 2010 and his Masters of Science in Advanced Architecture Design from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2012.
Students communicate with their instructor through Google Classroom. Parents please make sure your student is enrolled in the appropriate Google Classroom section by obtaining the classroom code from me. If you student is not enrolled in my Google Classroom they will miss out on important updates, instructions and communication from me.
Students are not required to obtain software or hardware on their own as the class is set up as a computer lab. However, for those who are interested in pursuing a career in architecture or design in a serious capacity after high school it is encouraged to attempt to do so since post-secondary institutions of higher learning will require every student to have a laptop running all software. Below you can find links to the software we use.
Students who take the class will learn industry skills applicable today in the architecture, design and fabrication fields. You can see examples of this work on Mr.Mesghali's website. Some assignments will require design resources you can find archived in the resource section of my site:www.mesghali.studio
