Exams for College Admissions

Virtually all colleges require that you take the SAT Reasoning Test, ACT or Subject exams.  It is recommended that you visit individual colleges for their admissions requirements.  However, the University of California or the California State University will require that you take either the SAT or ACT for admissions.  The University of California will also require a minimum of two Subject exams.  Both systems require that you complete your exams no later than December of your senior year.  You may register at www.collegeboard.org or www.act.org.  If you qualify for free or reduced lunch, stop by the school cafeteria to request a verification letter. Once you have the letter, stop by the CCC and speak with Mrs. Valverde to obtain the SAT and ACT free waivers.

You may also wish to participate in any reduced cost SAT/ACT workshops throughout the fall or spring.  Announcements will be made in the school bulletin about these upcoming workshops.  You may also refer to the list of off campus testing preparation companies below.
