Overview of art program initiative to provide portraits to orphans in Ghana.
Show Transcript
so we were contacted by Ben Schumacher who runs the memory project he organizes cruel program and this year he sent us Tim Hortons from Ghana can you draw that picture and then they send that picture back to the said orphan and then they get the picture happy we can use any medium we want please acrylic color pencil watercolor even like collage or art purposes for artists to create a portion of these orphans because I don't really have a lot and it's a nice way to connect orphans I always try to make it the best I can because I know that they'll be this is something that they'll be looking forward to and I really do they don't usually get art made for them and this is kind of like a personalized thing for them is not just a picture to picture of them it's have anyone else it's like I focused on her for a certain amount of time and it was just her it's really worth it because we want to try to get as many quality portraits as we can because I really think these kids deserve to have a quality Fortune today I was an orphan in Ghana I would be pretty happy as someone drew picture city of tortured and shows that someone spend time created hitting some just for you versus receiving like clothes or something that's already made lose more of a connection when you have somebody drop portrait of you I sort of feel like I am giving them a sense of Hope in a way I'll be doing it next game here after more orphans and just what we'd Russo if a lot of supposed to do it I think it makes a lot of people happy
