Dear Culver City High School Families,

I welcome you to our school. I am ecstatic about my first year as Principal of Culver City High School. Our commitment is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become collaborators, communicators, originators(quality producers), problem-solvers, influential citizens, achievers, and critical thinkers. I have spent more than 22 years in education, dedicated to developing school leadership capacity, building the instructional knowledge of teachers, and creating a robust school-wide culture and climate. We are all champions for every child to discover and develop their innate potential, talents, and a growth mindset that effort is their means to an end, not the end. The end is that learning is improving.

I believe in our continued collective ownership of the “Why” and the motivation to do the “What” through authentic engagement to seed and sustain good first teaching and innovation. Congratulations to the CCHS staff and school community for attaining a 6-year Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation. I honor our hard work and commitment to excellence. Each day we support our Centaurs by focusing on the holistic success of the individual, as it directly impacts personal happiness, academic advancement, and sustainable, life-goal achievement.

The CCHS Team:

  • makes decisions in the best interest of our scholars.
  • provides a clear vision for school improvement.
  • advocates for our scholars, school, and community.
  • effectively communicate school progress with educational partners.
  • leads by example.
  • uses varied types of data to inform our policies, processes, and programs.

We cordially invite all parents and family members to become and/or continue to be a part of your student’s education. We know that there are caring and involved family members behind every successful student. We look forward to collaborating with each of you to ensure that each student graduates ready for college, career, and civic life.

Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year
