Hello from Ms. Gable's Film Class

Welcome to film classes for the 2018/2019 School Year!  I'm filling in for Ms. Reyes this year as she is out on maternity leave.
Growing up in a family of painters, sculptors, actors, interior, fashion, and furniture designers, a career in the arts was almost a given for me.  Upon graduating from UCLA, I embarked on a career in television commercial, music video, and independent film production. From lowly production assistant to wardrobe stylist to producer, and visual effects producer, I've worn many hats in production.  After leaving production to start a family, I decided to turn my long-time hobby of portrait photography into a business and eventually added directing and shooting music videos to my resume.  It was through my years of volunteering at school (9 consecutive years as a room parent!) that I discovered my love of teaching, and was encouraged by many to get my teaching credential.
With creating a nurturing and compassionate classroom environment at the core of my teaching philosophy, I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to combine my endless enthusiasm for the arts with my love of working with students.
