Share your CAP Project Adjusted Plan/Actions: Due today by 3pm - your group (one member per group) needs to share with Mr. Owens (via shared Google doc or email) what you adjusted CAP Project plan is - what you have done, what you planned on doing that you still can do, what you no longer will be able to do, and your alternate plan. This needs to be a minimum of one detailed paragraph.
 
 

CAP PROJECT PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

  • Research the causes and the history of the problem/issue (you will need to cite your sources). Analyze the issue, and provide multiple perspectives on the problem and potential solutions.
  • Prepare a presentation/lesson that you will be teaching to the class that includes: A brief History of the problem, multiple perspectives, but mostly focuses on your proposed solution and action plan.
  • SLIDESHOW PRESENTATION ELEMENTS:
  • Requirements: Visuals– the presentations should contain a lot of images and visuals – bullet points (no paragraphs or long passages of text, 20 Point Font size minimum) it is also recommended to include a video clip either that you produced (up to 5 minutes) or that you found on the internet during your research (no more than 3 minutes)
  • SLIDES:
    • Introduction: Introduce the problem or issue (1+ slides)
    • History of the problem or the issue (1+ slides)
    • Multiple Perspectives on the problem or the issue (1+ slides)
    • Group Proposed Solution(s) (1+ slides)
    • Actions (3+ slides)– describe in detail what you did or intended to do how it went or what you hoped to accomplish – how effective were the responses, what obstacles did you have to overcome
    • Going forward (1 to 2 slides) – what can and should happen regarding the issue/problem in the future
  • Each member of the group must participate in the creation of the project and speak during the presentation – speaking time should be relatively balanced.
  • Presentations should be between 10-15 minutes and well rehearsed (you will lose points if it is less than the time limit)
  • You will be evaluated by Mr. Owens
  • You must use a minimum of 4 sources in your research & recommended that 1 of these sources is an interview, and the sources must be listed on an Annotated Bibliography (list of sources with a brief description of each source – a sample will be provided).
  • Presentations are Due May 1stand presentation will take place the week of Monday May 4ththrough May 8th.
