<div>It is my understanding that "classes" will not be held today. More information to come shortly about that. Also, I am strongly considering moving our on-line meeting platform to Zoom. More information to come on that as well. If you have questions, please hold them for now, as I have not received all information yet. I hope you are well. Take Care, please.&nbsp;</div><br>

<div>Please take down the attached notes <strong>through</strong> (including) slide # 3 (you can finish it all if you'd like; today supposed to be a minimum day, so I'm trying to minimize the amount of work for you). We will pick up where we left off on Monday, April 6th, either in class or via this website. I hope you all have a good Spring Break! Stay safe, practice social distancing, and wash those hands!&nbsp; Love and peace to you all!&nbsp;</div><br>

<div>Please FINISH taking notes on the attached "Civil Rights Becomes Militant" (you should have started this yesterday). Make sure to go through the PPT in "slideshow" mode so you can see the videos embedded in the PPT. Please make sure to also watch the links which are included in the PowerPoint. One of the videos is of Robert Kennedy (who was running to win the Democratic Nomination for the 1968 Presidential Election) breaking the sad news of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. to the people of Indianapolis. I think it is really important to hear what he says and I encourage you to read the attached transcript of his impromptu speech that night as well.&nbsp;</div>
<div>Once you are done with the notes and video, please carefully read the attached "Civil Rights Becomes Militant DBQ" which includes two documents (a speech by Malcolm X and the Black Panther Party Ten Point Plan) and answer the questions. This is due to me via email by Saturday, March 21st at midnight.&nbsp;</div><br>

<div>Hey Everyone! I hope you're all doing okay! I will not be meeting with you via Skype today (Monday, March 16th) because I will be doing things at school. However, I have posted links to (some of the) Civil Rights Music. Period 3 listened to "Strange Fruit" on Friday but I would like everyone to listen to all of the following songs using the links I've provided. As you listen to the music, please answer the attached analysis questions for each song. You will need to submit this document with your answers to me via google docs OR you can e-mail them to me as an attachment by Friday, March 20th. I should be able to skype with you on Tuesday, March 17th. Please see the attachment for the scheduled time for each class.&nbsp;</div>
