I am a graduate from California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, from the University of Southern California, Rossier School of Education, with a Master of Arts in Teaching, and from Grand Canyon University with a Masters in Education in Curriculum, Instruction & Technology. My teaching credentials are with the State of California: California State Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education (K-12, Adult), Adapted Physical Education Specialist Credential and CLAD Certificate.
I began teaching in 1978 at Mesrobian Armenian School and taught several years there with teaching Elementary grades 3, 4, and combination 3/4 grade classes, teaching Physical Education to Junior and Senior High School students, as well as coaching various CIF sports.
Prior to teaching for Culver City Unified School District, I taught Physical Education classes at California State University Los Angeles.
I have been with Culver City Unified School District since 1982, teaching exercise classes for Culver City Adult School, teaching students of Special Needs as District Adapted Physical Education Specialist, as well as teaching Physical Education and Health at Culver City Middle School. Since 2002, I have been been teaching at Culver City High School with our Physical Education program to students in grades 9 through 12.
Sponsored by the Los Angeles County, Office of Education (Instructional Technology Outreach), I have been a recipient of the Digital Voice Awards (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013) with Student created Digital Multi-Media Projects.
I have been a USA Judo, National Referee and National Kata Judge. My coaching experiences are with USA Judo, USA Swimming, and High School Girls Team Sports with Basketball, Volleyball, and Soccer. I have also been a Red Cross Water Safety Swim Instructor, teaching swimming to Infants, children, and Adults.
I incorporate technology into my Physical Education program and engage my students in higher learning skills and prepare them for the 21st century.
I am the proud parent of two sons, who previously attended schools in Culver City.
