A lifetime SC football fan, I graduated from USC with a degree in psychology and a minor in business. When my boys were young, I took literature and writing classes and had little success in getting published. After years in the business world, I returned to school (California State University, Northridge) to earn my single subject credential in English. Recently I completed my masters in American Studies at Pepperdine. I love to learn!
My obsessions include rowing, hiking, biking, reading, traveling, and of course the sunshine in my life: my sons and my dog. My older son graduated from Southern Methodist University and is currently enrolled in CSULB's masters program in Sports Management. My younger son graduated from James Madison University and is, after a year as a social worker, returning to obtain a masters as a physician's assistant in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He also volunteers for the fire department and enjoys doing rescue work. I am really proud of both of them.
This year, in addition to teaching AVID 11/12, I will be teaching English 12 with a focus on the students attending university.
Life is good.
