English 9 (Period 3) Assignments

Students should finish Act 4 in Romeo and Juliet and read scene 1 of Act 5. We will take a quiz at the start of class on Tuesday :)

Students should read Act Three, scenes 3, 4, and 5 in Romeo and Juliet. Attached is an annotation guide. There will be a quiz on this reading tomorrow :)

Today, we were introduced to our next group project--creating a commercial using all three rhetorical appeals. We have Wednesday and Thursday to work in class, and we will present them on Friday :)

Students should complete a revision of their Of Mice and Men analysis essay and submit it through Canvas by 11:59 pm :)

Students should complete the attached reflection assignment using the feedback given them on their Of Mice and Men essays. 

Students should complete a first draft of an essay on Of Mice and Men by Thursday, March 23rd after working in class on Friday 3/17, Monday 3/20, and Tuesday 3/21. 

Students should prepare for tomorrow's Socratic Seminar by reading the attached letter from Ms. Herrera and completing the prep work handout.

Wednesday 2/8-Wednesday 2/15, we will be working in class on a research project to prepare us for reading Of Mice and Men. The presentations will happen in class on 2/16 and 2/17. Attached is the assignment. 

This week, we are working on revisions to our "Most Dangerous Game" essays. Those revisions are due via Canvas on Friday, February 3rd :)

On Tuesday 1/24 and Wednesday 1/24, we worked on the first draft of an essay on "The Most Dangerous Game." Whatever we did not complete in class is homework for Thursday 1/26. 

We worked on an extended Schaffer paragraph on "The Most Dangerous Game" in class on January 19th. Anyone who didn't finish it then should complete it for homework. 

Today, we started a partner project that will be due on Wednesday. It's a storyboard for the short story, "The Most Dangerous Game." See the attached assignment and the attached PDF of the story if you were absent.
