APUSH (Period 2) Assignments

LA 92 Reflection: Position the documentary within the context of what we've been learning about. Think about urban strife and how that has effected mass culture.

Format: Two paragraphs, typed, double spaced, 12 pt font, PRINTED, and proof-read, due at the beginning of class. If you have trouble accessing the documentary via home because of an absence, please let me know. If printing is an issue, please come speak with me PRIOR to the due date. I will help you problem solve.

 

LA 92 is from the National Geographic Channel.  You can access it via their website or your cable provider (please check you listings). We are watching it Tuesday 5/23, Wednesday 5/24, and Thursday 5/25 in class.

SAQ style quiz on Monday on the evolution of Hip Hop.

Song Assignment:
Pick a hip hop song from your assigned decade, then pick a hip hop song from 2010-2017. In two paragraphs, compare and contrast the songs in light of our discussion regarding the evolution of hip hop thus far. Must be typed and double spaced with twelve point font. Please print out the lyrics to both songs and attach them to your write up.
